The Doches Credit Union are only a few nails and boards away from their new location on South University Drive.
Their current location on 920 Northwest Stallings Drive that opened in 1999 will still be around, but the new location should be perfect for meeting the demands of that area, according to James Muse, Doches Credit Union president.

Construction of the new Doches Credit Union continues for their new location on South University Drive. Antoinio Ochoa sands a door for the new building as Doroteo San Juan carries a finished door to another part of the building. The building is expected to be finished some time in November. |
"It's really designed for people who don't get much service in that part of town," Muse said. "There's Pilgrim's Pride, Cooper Industries, Lone Star, Nibco, Framesaver, Norboard – There's a lot of industry over there and a lot of it is a demographic that does not typically have traditional services like checking accounts."
While this will make a second active location in the Nacogdoches area, this will be one of three current locations with the other being located in Center.
"Our second location is in Center," he said. "It's known as a trade name which is County Credit Union. It's the same organization, but obviously Doches wouldn't work."
Doches Credit Union has had other locations in the past other than only their current location including their first site on South Street decades ago.
The new location is expected to be up and running in early November if all goes according to plan.
"Some of the last minute stuff that should take a week has taken two or three," Muse said. "We do expect to be open in November some time."
Currently the building is up and temporary signs are in front at their location at 823 South University Drive.
