Fiorina in McCain Cabinet?
This is about as close as you are going to get to a flat-out “yes” when you ask folks if they want to serve in the Cabinet if their presidential candidate wins the White House.
“One of the great things about my life right now is that I have lots of options and lots of opportunities,” Carly Fiorina, former Hewlett-Packard CEO and current senior economic adviser to John McCain, told reporters this morning when asked if she would want a Cabinet slot if he wins. “And I have learned that if you’re open to options and opportunities the future tends to take care of itself.”
“So I’m really not worried about what next. And I think there are many, many people - myself included … who would be honored to serve in McCain’s Cabinet. And depending upon the opportunity, I would be as well.”
And does Fiorina think that somebody with her business background would be a good running mate?
“John McCain is going to have a lot of highly qualified people to choose from,” she said before launching into a brief monologue about the similarities between government and business.
“What I can tell you is that all aspects of the federal government reach out to business people because there are some common elements in organizational challenges. There are some common elements in how you bring people together to make them more efficient and effective. And, yes, there are things I think government can borrow and learn from business.”

Carly Fiorina, the woman who was solely responsible for the collapse and virtual destruction of one of the America’s industrial giants of technology: Hewlett Packard. And her reward for such utter incompetence? She got a severance package of more than $21 million. If only I could be that incompetent. This quintessential icon of the modern day robber baron would be the perfect choice for a member of the Republican nominee’s future cabinet.
