Guatemalan President says U.S. should recognize the “great sacrifice” of immigrants

Guatemalan President Alvaro Colom, who is visiting Washington, said that Guatemalan immigrants who are in the United States illegally deserve the same temporary legal protections that have been granted other Central Americans, the Washington Post reported this week.

Colom made the comments in a meeting with some of the paper’s reporters and editors.

Colom said that the immigration problem should be resolved “in a multilateral way” involving regional governments, rather than through arrests and deportations and that the United States should recognize the “great sacrifice” many Guatemalans have made by leaving their families and seeking work abroad.

[‘Colom said that the immigration problem should be resolved “in a multilateral way” involving regional governments’]
Our USA is a sovereign nation so keep your regional governmental multilateral boondoggles in your own colon, El Presidente Colom.

[‘the United States should recognize the “great sacrifice” many Guatemalans have made by leaving their families and seeking work abroad.’]
We do recognize their “great sacrifices” by deporting Illegal Aliens back to their 3rd world homelands & their waiting families.

Political cucarachas must stop insulting Immigrants by equating them with Illegal Aliens & all of the criminal activities Illegals indulge in.
