Perry planning to attend tea parties in four burgs including Austin

Gov. Rick Perry, who was energized while speaking to an April “tea party” rally outside Austin’s City Hall, plans to give a few of this week’s parties a whirl. His office confirms that Perry plans to attend a party today in Sulphur Springs and go to gatherings on Saturday, Independence Day, in Rockwall, Austin and San Antonio.

After the 11-minute mark of this interview with instapundit’s Glenn Reynolds, Perry salutes the tea parties, describing them as “spontaneous, organic, coming right out of the ground, if you will, all across this country.”

Perry adds that he enjoyed seeing Americans “that love this country, knowing that we are on a track that will destroy America, particularly destroy America’s economy, unless this Congress gets under control,” presumably a reference to federal spending and other actions.

“And to me that’s what the tea party has really always been about… Tea parties are really about freedom and liberty. Americans are tired of seeing their freedoms be taken away, seeing their liberty being restrained. And it happens when Washington forces their programs upon the states,” Perry says, without specifying which programs.

Yee - Hah, Perry is a good representative of the kind of idiots that attend these “tea-parties”, the real dregs of the GOP. Texas must have a lot of dummies to put this clown in office.

The people that work for a living are turning out once again across the country to denounce our out of control government. The people that have their hand out for “free” money and benefits from the government paid for by the working people will object and try to make fun of these American patriots. Obama is destroying our country overnight with the help of the ultra liberal leaders in congress. They are buying votes with their give aways. Notice the only people they suggest not pay taxes on their healthcare are union members and members of congress. The public offices of member of congress, senator, and president have been turned into virtual royalty and the American people have slept through the change. It is time to take back our country, throw out the bums in office, elect people that actually represent the productive people of the USA, and pay them the national median wage, plus their real expenses for living in Washington D.C. Quit allowing congress to give themselves top executive wages, pensions for a few years service, and benefits other than what the American people have. That is what the TEA Parties are all about. The other side supports people like ACORN members, community organizers who teach lazy people how to profit from government handouts, and the gay pride people.

Wow… more tea bagging jokes. Shouldn’t be surprised that the hugely uneducated and ignorant people known as progressives would keep making such an unoriginal joke. But then again we should know better than to expect any type of intellectual honesty from these people.

I love the idea of Tea Parties. It is awesome that so many people are standing up to protect their freedoms. National Healthcare is unConstitutional as it violates the 10th amendment. Obama just passed Cap and Trade which raises taxes on people who make less the $200,000, which he promised he would not do. He promised to post all bills online for 5 days so the public could review them before signing. Obama is running fake town meetings. I didn’t like Bush and I don’t like Obama. But I like Perry because he has the balls the the guts to stand up to the Federal Government for Texans.

Doesn’t the Gub’ner have banjo recitals to attend? Or tongues to practice speaking in? I imagine that if the Gub spoke in tongues while teabagging, rapture would surely ensue.

You just keep laughing, misguided fools. One day you will figure out that we (the awakening majority) BITE! Then what will you do once you’ve been castrated?

It wouldn’t be a Republican party without lots of Tea Bagging!

But what I love most of all about the tea parties is all the teabagging.
