Jeremiah Wright was (is) Barak Obama’s pastor (BY CHOICE) for many years. That should scare more Americans than whether or not he is from an Islamic background. Supporters of Mr. Obama’s campaign claim the widely circulated sermons were taken out of context, but he said what he said, and at the time Obama considered him his spirtual leader.

There seems to be a little confusion. First, Sen. Obama, although in his younger years, he was raised a Muslim, he presently claims to be a Christian. Although his proclivity to a pastor like Jeremiah Wright is questionable, I won’t question his beliefs because we cannot look upon the heart of an individual. Second, this nation was founded by Christians trying to escape a dictatorship trying to tell people how to believe in God. They wrote the Declaration of Independance, the Preable and the Constitution of the United States. These documents all clearly state their beliefs and faith in our Lord and savior. Whata our forefathers neglected to be specific about, was their devotion to the Christian faith, not all faiths. There is no mention of Allah, Mohamed, or any other faith of belief. This nation was founded based on Christian beliefs, not Muslim, Mormon, Buddist, Hindei or any other religion. We all seem to forget where we came from. All politicians are swore in using the Bible. “So help me God” is always included, not so help me Allah. We need to regain and relook at the intent of our existance, not modify it to suit others. We are under no requirement to be tolerant or understanding to perverted religions which claim “we are all infidels and need to be killed”. We are a nation of Christians, not a melting pot of all faiths.
