Rex is a Texan
The Houston Texans claim to be serious about becoming a winning franchise.
Well, their offseason acquisitions at quarterback aren’t proving their point.
Matt Schaub is the starter, but he seems to be injury-prone. Well, his backup, Sage Rosenfels, is gone to Minnesota. So who do the Texans get to back up Schaub?
Earlier in the offseason, they signed Dan Orlovsky, the quarterback who helped lead the Detroit Lions to an 0-16 record in 2008. Well, that’s just great. Let’s get a guy who can’t win a game in a league filled with parody.
Then today, the Texans go get another quarterback. “Please be somebody good, please be somebody good,” the 437 Texan fans said.
The Texans signed… Rex Grossman?
Oh he’s good right? He led the Bears to a Super Bowl, so he has to be good huh?
Haha dream on. This is the guy that they claimed his team got to the Super Bowl despite him. They would rather punt the ball and let their defense try to score than put the ball in Grossman’s hands.
So my message to all 437 fans — Wait, 436 now. One just bolted when he heard the news. He is now cheering for the Chicago Bears — just hope that Matt Schaub doesn’t get hurt. Because options 2A and 2B are pretty bad.
