Nacogdoches sends three to help hurricane relief efforts

Nacogdoches should feel proud of these guys! Over the State, several Cities have people involved, but the Majority are ignoring the Incident Management System, and will be shocked if they ever have a big incident. They will NOT be prepared. Nacogdoches is out leading in this area.

Paramedics Alan Russell & Steven Wright, who are members of FEMA, have also been deployed. Nacogdoches should feel very proud to have these fine men in our fire department and EMS.

There are time when disaster strikes and I have this overwelming feeling to help. id be willing to do whatever is needed. It seems as though you have to be a fireman or in the military to do so. How does a local help those in need like after a hurricane?

Melissa, my brother in law is with only about 10 volunteers trying to feed thousands of people in Brownsville at the La Trinidad Baptist Church at 505 Old Alice Road. The contact number to get details is 210-646-9840 (home) or 979-546-1535(cell) Skip Holman. It is urgent to get help as the media has stopped coverage. Also if you are affiliated with a church or know of others who would be willing to help put the call out. I will send the original email if you want to send it out.email me at rsamuel@austin.rr.com
