Vintage jewelry

Special FX Salon is showcasing vintage jewelry from Bullard designer Janet Waldrop tomorrow, July 24 at their Justin Street shop. Waldrop uses antique found objects, such as cuff links, poker chips and thermometers to produce a unique collection of vintage jewelry. I spoke with her earlier this morning, and she said her “hot thing” right now is to incorporate porcelain dolls into pendants. Each piece is accompanied with an original Victorian photo and a story of what the objects were originally used for. It sounds interesting, and I’m sure the show, which lasts all day, will be fun.
