Homecoming and revival services are scheduled Sunday through Friday, at New Hope Baptist Church, 819 Ritchie St.

Speaker for the homecoming service at 3 p.m. Sunday will be the Rev. R.l. Cotton, pastor of Mount Gillion Baptist Church, Center.

Revival services begin at 7 p.m. Monday through Friday with the Rev. Jerrard Mosley of Solid Rock Baptist Church in Paris as speak.

Guest choirs will include: Monday — Sunset Galilee, St. Mathew and Mount Moriah; Tuesday — Sand Ridge, St. James and \Sandhill; Wednesday — Grayland, Lone Star and St. Paul; and Thursday — Goodwill, Pine Flat and Mount Moriah.

A musical begins at 6 p.m. today. Guests will include Lights of Faith from Magnolia, Ark., and Tony Boys from Carthage, Ark.

Choir Appreciation Day will be observed in service to be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, at Sunset Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, 1609 S. Rayburn Drive.

Guests will include the Rev. Wesley Benton and member of Antioch Baptist Church.

This Sunday's life lesson at 10 a.m. The Vineyard Church, 4140 FM 1878, will be "Messy Spirituality — When My Religion Doesn't Work So Well." Do you ever feel that you don't measure up? Is life for you one step forward and two (or three) steps back? When you look around at all those other Christians do you feel inadequate? Pastor Jim Miller will address this all-to-common feeling among Christians and show that, despite our shortcomings, God has great plans for us.

A fall festival of faith hosted by Westminster Presbyterian Church, 903 North St., will be presented today and Sunday, with Dr. John McCoy as speaker; his theme, "The Gospel of John: Another Look."

Scheduled topics include:

Saturday — 10:30 a.m. "Born Again"; lunch at noon; and 1 p.m. "On Being A Witness. Sunday — 9:30 a.m. "Eternal Life"; 11 a.m. "Faith and Doubt" followed by Italian pot luck lunch.

Events include a book fair, children's activities, a bake sale and more. McCoy is a retired Presbyterian minister whose last pastorate was at North Park Presbyterian Church, Dallas. He most recently has served as interim senior pastor for Highland Park Presbyterian Church and as theologian in residence for that congregation.

McCoy received his bachelor of fine arts degree the University of Texas, with a major in radio-television broadcasting, his master of divinity from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary and his Ph.D. (cum laude) from Princeton. He has served on boards for the Presbyterian School of Christian Education in Richmond, Va., Shriner College in Kerrville, Texas Presbyterian Foundation, Dallas Pastoral Counseling and Education Center of Dallas, Presbyterian Village North and the Shakespeare Festival of Dallas.
