Criminal mischief, 2900 block of North Street. A man became upset after his coworkers would not lend him money for cigarettes, and he picked up a steam machine, threw it down and broke it, the report said. The machine was valued at $1,500.

Assault/family violence, 2000 Durst Street. Officers responded to a 911 hangup and discovered a man had punched a woman in the arm. He was arrested.

Possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance, 3000 block of North Pecan Street. Officers saw a man drinking beer near the road. Officers spoke to Jerimey Antonio Williams, 23, 3022 N. Pecan St., No. 111, and he was found in possession of marijuana and cocaine and he was arrested.

Assault/family violence, 300 block of Ellington Drive. A man assaulted his girlfriend by pushing her and pulling her hair.

Hit-and-run, 4600 block of Old Lufkin Road.

Burglary of a building, 2200 block of South Fredonia Street. A storage shed was entered and an air compressor and two nail guns were taken.

Deadly conduct, 1000 block of North Street. A man and his wife were riding in a vehicle and accidentally cut off another car. The driver of the other car pointed a handgun at them and the couple called the police. They followed the vehicle until officers were able to stop them on Starr Avenue. A pistol was found in the front seat, and Mark Anthony Henry, 38, Livingston was arrested.

Burglary of a habitation, 3000 block of Cecil Jones Street. A home was entered and a game system was taken.

Forgery, 2400 block of North Street. Checks that had been lost between Nacogdoches and Alto were used at Randall's in Lufkin.

Burglary of a habitation, 200 Wedgewood Drive. A woman said her former boyfriend kicked the front door of her residence. He then threw her on the bed and then left the apartment. A warrant was requested for him.

Sexual assault. A woman said a known person sexually assaulted her at her home.

Burglary of a building, 2000 block of Maroney Drive. An office was broken into and cash and T-shirts were taken.

Criminal mischief, 700 block of North University Drive. A known person destroyed a person's laptop and then left it in front of their business.

Indecency with a child. A woman said her 7-year-old had been sexually abused by a family member for a period of time.

Theft, 1100 West Seale Street. An air conditioner was taken from the back window of a home.

Burglary of a building, 1000 Cason Street. During home renovations, two framing hammers, one framing square, one chisel, one wrench and three work belts were taken by someone who entered a home.

Harassment, CR 153. A deputy arrested a man and placed him into the back seat of the patrol car. It was later discovered that the man had spat into the driver's seat, causing the deputy to come into contact with it.

JAIL POPULATION
On Tuesday morning, 188 inmates were housed in the Nacogdoches County jail. According to the Texas Commission on Jail Standards, the jail's maximum population is 292.
