Public intoxication, 4100 block of North Street. A man in a brown UPS uniform was seen stumbling through a parking lot. Officers found him to be very intoxicated, and he was arrested.

Assault/family violence, 3200 block of Phoenix Terrace. Officers responded to a disturbance. It was discovered that Katrina Lashawn Polk, 36, 3208 Pheonix Terrace, No. 20A, had punched a woman in the mouth during an argument, and Polk was arrested.

Public intoxication and resisting arrest, 200 Bowie Street. Officers contacted Donna Jean Roenne, 41, 200 Shoreline Drive, and she was found to be intoxicated. As officers tried to arrest her she resisted and attempted to pull away.

Possession of marijuana, 3220 North Street. Officers responded to a report of marijuana and found M.T. Johnson, 30, 1329 W. Seale St., who had an active warrant for possession of marijuana, and he was arrested.

Burglary of a building, 300 South Mound Street. The back window of a home was broken and a window air conditioner was taken.

Theft, 2100 block of Maroney Street. A phone left on a park bench was gone when the owner returned.

Assault/family violence, 300 Myrtle Street. Two people got into an argument after one woke the other up. After being awakened, the woman yelled at the person who woke her and the person pushed her. Police arrived and the two agreed to be separated for the night.

Reckless driving, Highway 59 South. A vehicle traveling north in the southbound lane of traffic was stopped. The driver was found to be intoxicated and was arrested.

Disturbance in progress, CR 804. Deputies responded to reports of a large disturbance and found several men in the street fighting. Deputies discovered one of the men was very intoxicated, and his friends were trying to assist him. The friends were unable to control their friend, and the man was arrested for public intoxication.

Criminal mischief, Bates Lane. The door of a residence was split by a known person, and a warrant was requested.

———

Forgery. A woman said the title to a vehicle she recently acquired may have been forged.

SFA POLICE REPORTS

Theft, Steen Library. The seat of a bicycle was stolen off a bike left in the bike rack outside the library.

Hit-and-run, Lot 11.

Arrests included: William Thomas Lee, 30, 3613 CR 4694, Timpson, non-payment of child support; Malcom Ray Mettlen, 32, homeless, public intoxication; Christian Wade Morgan, 21, 502 CR 200, warrant for possession of marijuana; Bobby Lynn Rodrigues, 51, Lufkin, assault/family violence; James Lee Smithhart, 22, 13506 State Hwy. 21 E., warrants for evading arrest, failure to appear and a motion to revoke probation; Natasha M. Upshaw, 29, 8829 FM 2609, driving while intoxicated; and Bobby E. Williams, 57, 1206 Powers St., two warrants for driving while intoxicated.

JAIL POPULATION

On Wednesday morning, 187 inmates were housed in the Nacogdoches County jail. According to the Texas Commission on Jail Standards, the jail's maximum population is 292.
