Counterfeit check, 2000 North St. A man met woman online who offered to help her out financially. He sent her a check, which she was supposed to cash. She was to keep $800 and send the rest back to him. The check was counterfeit, so the store refused to cash it.

Possession of marijuana and violation of protective order, 501 Pearl St. Two roommates were fighting in Banita Creek Park. Travis Skeeters and Keith Hillyer were arrested. A woman Skeeters was with had an active protective order against him, and he was also in possession of marijuana.

Possession of marijuana, 500 Ochiltree St. Dominique Caldwell, 18, of 3413 E. Main St., No. 920, was a passenger of a vehicle on a traffic stop and was found to be in possession of marijuana. She was arrested.

Driving while intoxicated, 2600 North St. Dustin Vanhalst was stopped on a traffic stop and was found to be intoxicated. He was arrested.

Assault and driving with license invalid, 1300 Pruitt Hill Drive. Two brothers got into a physical altercation. Neither wanted to file charges. Reuben Davison was stopped by officers. After leaving the scene, he was found with an invalid license. He was issued a citation. His vehicle was towed.

Warrant service, 188 Perkins Drive. A wanted subject was found at a residence on Perkins Drive. He was placed into custody for a burglary of a habitation warrant from NPD.

Identity theft, 301 Abilene St. A man attempting to finance a car was advised by a local dealership that unknown persons had used his personal information to finance several cars dating back to the 1980s. The man was advised to obtain a copy of his credit report and bring it to the law enforcement center so the report could be taken. He never arrived at the law enforcement center.

Animal problem , CR 719. A call was received in reference to horses not having any food or water. The officer observed the horses were in better shape than they had the last time he was there, but he also observed that there was no water in their trough. The officer contacted the owner by phone who was identified from the previous case as Tonuelo Bertin Sims. Sims stated that he was on his way out to cut a tree that had fallen on the waterline and had it crimped so no water could get through the hose. At this point, the officer observed a large hackberry that had fallen across the hose. Sims showed up and cut the tree off the hose and filled the water trough. Sims stated that he was taking care of the horses by himself and that only one belonged to him. The officer advised him that if he wanted to get rid of some of the horses that he would provide him with a number to call.

Burglary, 11945 Hwy 59 North. An unknown person or persons entered an unlocked residence and removed several items of value.

Threats, 936 5th St. A man received threatening phone calls from his mother. His mother bought a vehicle in her name for him. He said he was paying all of the notes on the vehicle until recently due to an argument he had with his mother. He told his mother that she could take the vehicle back. His mother told him that she needs $700, which the man said he did not have. His mother threatened to break into his residence, take his property and sell it in order to get the money.

Dog bite victim, 1491 CR 724, A woman's daughter was bitten on the arm by a bulldog. There was a single puncture on her arm. The on-call animal shelter employee was paged to file the appropriate paperwork. The child was transported to Nacogdoches Medical Center to receive treatment.

Harassing calls. 189 CR 514. A man was harassed via telephone by another man who was calling repeatedly. The caller was told to stop calling or further action would be taken.

Theft, 5291 Hwy. 59 South. A fireworks stand was broken into, and approximately $1,200 worth of fireworks were stolen.
