Assault, 1000 block of Virginia Street. A man said he was assaulted by two people while he was sleeping in his car.

Assault, 2800 block of Pearl Street. A woman and her boyfriend got into an argument, and they pushed each other. No injuries were reported, and the two were separated.

Criminal trespass, 800 block of Ridgewood Street. A home was entered after the lock was pried off. The closets were rummaged though, but nothing was reported stolen.

Burglary of a habitation, 3000 block of North Pecan Street. The window of an apartment was broken, and checkbooks and passports were taken.

———

Theft, 4700 block of North University Drive. Two hand guns were taken from an apartment.

Possession of marijuana, 400 block of Northwest Stallings Drive. A vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation, and the officer reported that the driver was acting suspicious. The vehicle was searched, and four pounds of marijuana were found in a diaper bag. The driver was arrested.

Reckless damage, 3400 block of East Main Street. A woman said a juvenile scratched the hood of her car by sitting on the hood.

JAIL POPULATION

On Friday morning, 197 inmates were housed in the Nacogdoches County jail. According to the Texas Commission on Jail Standards, the jail's maximum population is 292.
