Assault/family violence, 1800 block of North Street. During a disturbance between a woman and her boyfriend, the woman bit the man on his thumb.

Two charges of aggravated assault, 4000 block of South Street. A victim and his 15-year-old cousin were beat with a flashlight by several unknown men. The victim's injuries were severe, and he was admitted to the hospital.

Possession of marijuana and public intoxication, 4100 block of North Street. A man was contacted after a fight, and he was found to be intoxicated. Marijuana was found in his pocket. He was arrested.

———

Assault, 1800 block of Railroad Street. During an argument, a man pulled his girlfriend out of a vehicle causing her to scratch her knees.

———

Theft, 2700 block of South Street. A GPS was taken from a display case in a store.

———

Criminal mischief, 2100 block of Northwest Stallings Drive. The back glass of a camper was broken with a BB gun.

JAIL POPULATION

On Saturday morning, 203 inmates were housed in the Nacogdoches County jail. According to the Texas Commission on Jail Standards, the jail's maximum population is 292.
