Burglary of a vehicle, 2100 block of Pearl Street. A stereo was taken from a vehicle.

Criminal mischief, 300 block of Burk Street. The windows were broken out of a vehicle.

Criminal mischief, 3400 block of Chimney Rock. The tire of an SUV had been flattened.

Burglary of a vehicle, 300 block of North Sanders Street. The window of a vehicle was broken and a CD player was taken.

Burglary of a vehicle, 3300 block of Old Tyler Road. A CD player and purse were taken from a vehicle.

Theft, 1122 North University Drive. Margaret Young, 40, of 322 Lenwood Drive, was arrested for taking items from JCPenney, Shoe Department and Burk's.

Theft, 4900 block of North Street. A CD player, a portable DVD player and an iPod were reported stolen.

Forgery, 4810 North St., McDonald's. A counterfeit $100 was used at the cashier.

Arrests included: Kenneth Ray Christopher, 19, 2501 Paluxy St., evading arrest; Stacy L. Coats, 36, 3048 Woden Road, No. 3, burglary of a building; Ronny Glenn Jones, 43, Lufkin, warrant for theft of service; Rodney Demone Randle, 40, 1902 Pat St., driving while license invalid and hit-and-run; John Wesley Richardson, 46, 456 Hidden Meadows Drive, warrant for securing execution of document by deception; and Reynaldo Torres, 25, Crystal City, two warrants for motion to revoke probation.

JAIL POPULATION

On Tuesday morning, 179 inmates were housed in the Nacogdoches County jail. According to the Texas Commission on Jail Standards, the jail's maximum population is 292.
