Driving while intoxicated and possession of marijuana, 1500 block of North Street. A vehicle was stopped by officers when the driver was suspected of being intoxicated. The driver, James Earl Johnson, 48, of Houston, was found to be intoxicated and arrested. The passenger, Patrick Lakeith Flanagan, 31, of Houston, was seen throwing out a bag of marijuana, and was also arrested.

Theft, 4300 block of Old Tyler Road. A purse, containing cash, and iPod and two pairs of sunglasses, were taken from a party.

Assault, 3400 block of South Street. A person was struck by someone in an argument, and they were gone by the time officers arrived.

Driving while intoxicated, 400 block of Lane Drive. The driver of a vehicle, involved in a small accident, was suspected of being intoxicated and was taken to Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital. A warrant may be requested pending the return of test results.

Criminal mischief, 900 block of North University Drive. Two people were reported on property they had received trespass warnings.

Unauthorized use of a vehicle, Highway 259. A cell phone, credit cards and a vehicle were taken by the owner's son without permission.

Burglary of a habitation, CR 260. Electrical devices and several tools, worth a total of $600, was taken from a home.

Assault, CR 6106. A truck pulled into someone's driveway and a passenger of the vehicle punched the complainant in the head.

Assault/family violence and resisting arrest, CR 284. Officers responded to an assault, and the suspect resisted arrest.

Criminal mischief, Lot 20. Eggs were thrown at all four sides of a vehicle.

Possession of marijuana, Lumberjack Village. The odor of marijuana was smelt coming from a room and marijuana seeds were found inside.

Theft, Student Recreation Center. A backpack and cell phone left in a locker in the men's room were missing when the owner returned.

Burglary of a vehicle, Lot 46. A vehicle was entered and $150 was taken from a purse.

Theft, Lumberjack Village. Laundry was taken from the third floor laundry room.

JAIL POPULATION
On Monday morning, 188 inmates were housed in the Nacogdoches County jail. According to the Texas Commission on Jail Standards, the jail's maximum population is 292.
