Burglary of a habitation, 800 block of Orton Street. A person came home and found someone they knew in their home who fled with several DVDs. A warrant was requested.

Evading arrest, 100 block of Mackechney Street. Officers attempted to contact a known person about an alcohol violation. The man fled on foot, and a warrant was requested for him.

Possession of marijuana, 1600 block of Martinsville Street. Responding to a drug complaint, officers found a man in possession of marijuana, and he was arrested.

Unauthorized use of a vehicle, 300 block of West Main Street. A vehicle was loaned to a known person, and it was not returned.

———

Criminal mischief, 200 block of West College Street. A vehicle scratched with a key and kicked, causing dents.

———

Theft, 1028 South St., Family Dollar. Cody Arlan Pate, 24, of 8388 State Hwy. 87 South, and Kimberly Kay Risinger, 25, of 6342 East Main St., were arrested for taking items from the store without paying, the report said.

Theft, 4700 block of Northeast Stallings Drive. Prescription eye glasses were reported stolen.

———

Phone harassment warning, CR 2476. A man was issued a phone harassment warning when he called his former girlfriend after being asked not to.

SFA POLICE REPORT

Theft, Lumberjack Village. Several items were suspected of being stolen by a former roommate.

Burglary of a vehicle, Hall 20. Three men were seen attempting to remove a wheel lock on a vehicle, and they arrested.

———

Theft, Steen Library. An unattended text book was taken. The book was recovered later and returned to the owner.

Arrests included: Maxie Antione Deckard, 28, 120 Hurst Road, No. 14, evading arrest and resisting arrest; Shelia Faye Dickey, 30, 300 Ferndale St., No. 6, motion to revoke probation; Carrie Lynn Moore, 41, Center, warrant for driving while intoxicated; Robert Mervin Nicholson, 24, 2627 Douglass Road, warrant for burglary of a vehicle; Antonio Stearns, 18, 301 West Cox St., two warrants for burglary of a habitation; Julie Kate Stewart, 29, Fort Worth, motion to revoke probation; Jerry Don Thorn, 20, 2116 Banita St., No. 209, warrant for theft; Joshua Wyatt Tremont, 20, 1600 Martinsville Road, No. 306, possession of marijuana; and Demarcus Andre Wade, 19, 2116 Banita St., No. 209, warrant for theft.

Jail Population

On Thursday morning, 203 inmates were housed in the Nacogdoches County jail. According to the Texas Commission on Jail Standards, the jail's maximum population is 292.
