The mysterious, vanishing crime

Criminal trespass, 1600 block of Northwest Stallings drive. Someone cut through 11 locks, but did not take anything.

Burglary, CR 8341. A woman said sever items were taken from her abandoned house.

———

Aggravated assault family violence, CR 5051. A woman said her husband assaulted her and threatened her with a knife.

———

Theft, 1600 block of South Street. A bluetooth headset worth $130 was taken.

———

Theft, 130 block of Bailey Street. A 16 foot trailer valued at $1,800 was taken the last night in April.

———

Theft, 2020 block of Northwest Stallings Drive. A toolbox was taken from a truck.

———

Burglary of a habitation, 220 block of Elm Street. Four DVDs were taken from a home.

———

Theft, 4510 block of North Street. A woman said she was unable to find her wallet, which she left on the counter at a gas station.

———

Hit and run, 4810 block of North Street.

———

Burglary of a habitation, 2720 block of North Street. A woman said her cell phone, laptop and several items of jewelry were taken from her hotel room.

———

Theft, 2020 block of Northwest Stallings Drive. After an argument, a woman drove off with some of another woman's clothes, according to the report.

———

Criminal mischief, 800 block of East Main Street. A window was damaged by a BB gun.

———

Burglary of a habitation, 200 block of East Lakewood Street. A PlayStation 2 was taken from an apartment.

Arrests included: Carlos Arlando Alday, 18, Pollok, disorderly conduct; Christopher Jose Castro, 24, 301 W. Seale St., public intoxication; Calvin Otis Jackson, 51, 721 Sweetgum St., theft by check; Taurus Nicole Nelson, 32, 504 Sweetgum St., motion to revoke probation; Orrin Scott Rater, 25, 906 Cason St., driving while intoxicated; Raul Rodarte Torres, 26, 1421 Douglass Rd., public intoxication; Shawanda Shunta Watts, 27, 1121 Meisenheimer St., robber; Shawn Patrick Williams, 39, 212 Helen Parmley Rd., driving while intoxicated.

JAIL POPULATION

On Saturday morning, 216 inmates were housed in the Nacogdoches County jail.

According to the Texas Commission on Jail Standards, the jail's maximum population is 292.
