Housewarming theft

Theft, 1600 block of Cardinal Street. While preparing to move into an apartment, a woman took off her wedding ring and left it by the sink. The door was left open to air out, and the ring was taken.

Hit and run, 3500 block of Northeast Stallings Drive.

Burglary of a motor vehicle, 4500 block of Lady Jennifer. A purse was taken from an unlocked vehicle.

———

Burglary of a motor vehicle, 4500 block of Kenbrook Drive. A semi-automatic pistol was taken from an unlocked pickup truck.

———

Burglary of a motor vehicle, 4500 block of Lady Jennifer. A woman's purse, zebra print shoes and GPS unit were taken from her unlocked vehicle.

———

Burglary of a motor vehicle, 4300 block of Post Oak Road. Two vehicles were entered and wallets were taken. One of the wallets was later found on Pearl Street, and returned.

Harassment, 200 block of North Popp Street. A woman said another woman calls and sends text messages repeatedly.

———

Credit card abuse, 1300 block of Pruitt Hill Drive. A man said someone used his card to buy diet pills through the Internet.

———

Theft, 2600 block of Pinecrest Drive. A woman reported a self-propelled lawn mower missing from her yard.

———

Theft, 5500 block of North Street. A man said a relative entered his home and took cash.

———

Theft, 1400 block of South Fredonia Street. A man said his friend took a laptop.

———

Possession of marijuana, 1400 block of Pearl Street. Tyundra Morris, 21, of 516 Burk St., was stopped for a traffic violation. Marijuana was found under his seat, and he was arrested.

———

Harassment, 1620 block of South Street. A man said his sister persistently calls him and curses at him at his place of employment.

———

Assault family violence, 1900 block of Queen Street. A man said his father threatened him during an argument.

———

Possession of marijuana, 1204 block of North Mound Street. While investigating an alcohol complaint, officers located 33.2 grams of marijuana. Tasha Sailers, 38, of 227 CR 105, was arrested.

Deadly conduct, 4200 North Stallings Drive. An off duty deputy attempted to break up a fight between a man and a woman. When the deputy identify himself as a police officer, the man fled into the woods and the woman backed her vehicle up quickly, almost running the deputy over. Theresa Lashon Fields, 28, of 1103 Oakhill Plaza, was arrested.

Burglary of a habitation, 3300 Old Tyler Road. A woman said her home was entered and jewelry was taken. She said another burglary took place on April 28, but she did not report it because she does not speak English, and only two items were taken.

Possession of a dangerous drug, possession of a controlled substance, 2500 block of South Street. A woman was contacted because she appeared to be intoxicated. Her vehicle contained Soma and Hydrocodone pills. Missy Owens, 37, of 10333 Hwy. 7 West, was arrested.

Disorderly conduct, 4800 block of North Street. Two women fought each other in a parking lot. Marquita Cunningham, 25, of Diboll and Ashley Campbell, 23, of 500 Hill Ave. No. 2, were arrested.

Assault family violence, 12620 block of Hwy. 259 North. Deputies responded to an assault.

———

Criminal mischief, 130 block of Springcreek Drive. Property was damaged.

———

Theft, 312 Pine Street, Cushing. A bicycle valued at $50 was taken without permission.

———

Indecency with a child, FM 1638. A woman said her young daughter had been inappropriately touched by a known person.

———

Arrests included: Sarah Amanda Bell, 27, 7482 FM 2259, driving while intoxicated; Lana Sue Calhoun, 49, Timpson, driving while intoxicated; Justin Ryan Channel, 22, 13374 Hwy, 21 West, Douglass, criminal nonsupport, bail jumping and failure to appear; Cedric Bernard Colson, 36, 1121 Meisenheimer St., criminal nonsupport; Lashundra Lanette Hall, 31, 608 Oakhill Plaza, public intoxication; Thomas Harold Shankle II, 37, 12624 Hwy. 259; Tommy Ray Smith, 49, 381 Melrose Circle, deadly conduct, criminal mischief; Raul Vasquez-Paz, 46, 208 Craven St., public intoxication; Jeffrey Lee warman, 23, 227 CR 105, possession of marijuana.

Jail Population

On Saturday morning, 166 inmates were housed in the Nacogdoches County jail. According to the Texas Commission on Jail Standards, the jail's maximum population is 292.
