Man fights law; law fights man

Possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, 1710 block of South Street. During a traffic stop, officers located marijuana and other drugs on the driver, who refused to obey commands to exit the vehicle. A physical altercation followed, and Cesar Gonzales, 18, of 4238 Sandy Land Circle, was arrested.

Aggravated assault, 1600 block of FM 2609. A woman was struck in the neck with a limb from a pine tree.

Assault, family violence, 7760 block of State Hwy. 7 East. A woman said her intoxicated son tried to kick her.

Possession of marijuana, 100 block of West College Street. While investigating a theft, officers found a usable amount of marijuana at a residence. Kentrall Ladon Brooks, 23, of 119 W. College St. and Edrick Sacoy Henderson, 23, of Dallas, were arrested.

Criminal mischief, 2800 block of Pearl Street. A rock was thrown at a vehicle, causing a dent and damage to the paint.

Assault, 200 block of Spradley Street. A woman said her boyfriend assaulted her, causing injury. Terrance Barnes, 28, of 225 E. Spradley St. No 8., was arrested.

Unlawful restraint, assault, 1000 block of Ridgewood Street. A woman said someone kept her from leaving her home by physically holding her inside the residence. The woman said the same person also assaulted her husband when he came to her aid.

Hit and run, 1100 block of Randal Street.

Arrests included: Mauro Barrera, 19, Lufkin, assault family violence; Matthew Donaldson, 19, 2018 Clarice St., driving while intoxicated; Calvin Wayne Hall, 21, 3220 North Street No. 103, public intoxication and disorderly conduct; Don Earl Haskin, 52, 7761 State Hwy. 7 East, assault family violence; Larry Donnell Hooten, 23, 620 Wildwood St., assault family violence and unlawful restraint; John Matthew Manchester, 19, driving while intoxicated; Christian Morgan, 21, 163 Buckstrode Rd., aggravated assault; Lawrence Pete Russaw, 53, 8909 U.S. Hwy. 59 N., public intoxication; Michael Dewit Session, 33, 319 Thomas St., assault; Ella Lorraine Wade, 17, 3220 North St., No. 111, disorderly conduct; and Kelley Oday Williams, 18, 2807 Pearl St., No. 189, public intoxication.

JAIL POPULATION

On Sunday morning, 181 inmates were housed in the Nacogdoches County jail. According to the Texas Commission on Jail Standards, the jail's maximum population is 292.
