Not as easy as taking candy from a baby

Theft, 2000 block of North Street. Jonathan Lewis Lacy, 29, homeless, was observed shoplifting candy at a store, and he was arrested.

Criminal trespass, 1500 block of West Main Street. A man was arrested after returning where he had previously been given a trespass warning.

———

Hit-and-run, 4500 block of Northeast Stallings Drive.

———

Burglary of a vehicle, 2800 block of Logan Circle. Three vehicles were entered during the night.

———

Burglary of a building, 1100 block of South University Drive. A bar was used to pry open metal on the back of a building. The people fled when the alarm activated.

———

Driving while intoxicated, 1600 block of North Street. A vehicle was stopped and the driver was found to be intoxicated and was arrested.

———

Burglary of a vehicle, 4600 block of North Street. Two vehicles were entered but it was unknown if anything was taken.

———

Aggravated assault, Shawnee and Otis Street. A man was treated at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital for a cut across his chest after being involved in a large fight between five to six men.

———

Theft, 800 block of Jordan Street. Cash that was hidden in a closet was stolen.

———

Fraud, CR 769. A credit card was used by an unknown person in Las Vegas and Pennsylvania.

SFA POLICE REPORTS

Possession of marijuana, Hall 14. An officer made contact with a complainant who led him to a room where the officer could smell burnt marijuana. The officer made contact with three people and located marijuana inside the room.

Arrests included: Angelena Collier, 18, 201 Bowie St., possession of marijuana and theft; Crystal Ruth Cooper, 29, 3803 CR 817, warrant for theft of service; Alex Omar Gonzalez, 19, 607 Burk St., warrant for theft; Debra Ann Hall, 49, 118 E. Seale St., No. A, warrants for abandoning or endangering a child, tampering or fabricating physical evidence and possession of a controlled substance; Terrance Michael Hayter, 32, 4100 CR 203, No. B, public intoxication; Samuel Rosevelt Lewis Jr., 49, Houston, non-payment of child support; Russell Dave McMullen, 22, 324 Shinn Road, unlawful carrying of a weapon; Jami Michelle Miller, 23, New Caney, driving while intoxicated with open alcohol container; Janet Wagner Pennington, 59, Etoile, assault; Larry Don Roark, 42, P.O. Box 324, Etoile, warrant for unlawful restraint of a public servant; Yana Danyel Roberts, 18, 3220 North St., No. 208, assault/family violence; Murry Lee Rodgers, 41, Center, violation of probation; Camile Rogers, 17, 301 Bowie St., No. 66, theft; Stephanie Kae Smith, 28, Pasadena, warrant for driving while intoxicated; Brian Roy Sowell, 41, 10822 Hwy. 7 W., warrant for possession of child pornography; Sylvester Spencer III, 20, Denton, bail jumping; Brandon Lejuan Strong, 25, 3509 Pebble Creek, bail jumping; Gloria Ann Tindall, 68, Gilmer, criminal trespass; and Joshua Monquiel Williams, 20, 3220 North St., No. 208, assault/family violence.

JAIL POPULATION

On Friday morning, 193 inmates were housed in the Nacogdoches County jail. According to the Texas Commission on Jail Standards, the jail's maximum population is 292.

Anyone with information regarding a felony crime should call Crime Stoppers at 560-INFO. Callers with information leading to an arrest and grand jury indictment could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
