Unauthorized use of a vehicle, FM 698. A woman said her husband stole her car. The deputy advised the woman that no laws were broken and advised her to contact a lawyer.

Theft, CR 803. A woman said her mechanic was ignoring phone calls involving her vehicle. The deputy spoke to both parties and an arrangement was made to recover the vehicle.

Felony possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana, 3000 block of North Pecan Street. Idris Devon Whitaker, 29, 1504 Rayburn Drive, was seen engaging in suspicious activity over the last two days. Officers contacted Whitaker outside of his home and he went inside to get his identification, and a bag of marijuana was seen in plain view. Officers located more than 13 grams of marijuana and 4 grams of ecstasy. Whitaker was arrested.

Fraud. A woman said her Lone Star Card was stolen and being used by someone else.

Animal problem, CR 711. A woman told a deputy that a stray dog came into her home. The deputy advised the woman to take the dog to the animal shelter.

Burglary of a building, CR 411. A trailer was taken from a residence.

Identity theft. Several counterfeit checks were passed in nearby cities.

Burglary of a habitation, 2500 block of Durst Street. A shotgun was removed from a home some time during the last two weeks.

Theft, 4800 block of North Street. A wallet was left at a checkout line. The owner returned and discovered it was missing.

Burglary of a vehicle, 5100 block of North Street. A purse was taken from a vehicle while the owner was paying for gas.

Edmondson, 35, 1557 FM 2112, public intoxication; Randy Wayne Glass, 49, 773 Francis Loop, No. 28, Garrison, warrants for disorderly conduct, driving while license invalid and displayed expired license plates; Christopher Jason Lee, 32, Carthage, warrants for aggravated assault and theft by check; Roy Edward Marshall Sr., 31, San Augustine, warrant for fictitious or counterfeit inspection; Kenesha Elizabeth Singleton, 20, Marshall, two motions to revoke probation; and Rodger Sprayberry Jr., 25, Kilgore, motion to revoke probation.

On Tuesday morning, 189 inmates were housed in the Nacogdoches County jail. According to the Texas Commission on Jail Standards, the jail's maximum population is 292.
