Animal problems, CR 817. A woman said someone is repeatedly tying her dogs together using their collars.

Two separate instances of theft, 4810 North St., Walmart. Martha Wheeler, 19, Onalaska, was observed by store security concealing items and she was arrested after she attempted to leave without paying. In an unrelated event, Janey Garmen, 53, 199 CR 383, was also arrested after attempting to leave with concealed items.

Burglary, FM 1087. A man said he discovered his gutter had been bent. He told deputies that it might have happened during the time some of his speakers had come up missing and thought there might be a connection.

Criminal trespass, CR 514. A woman said a man had spun his vehicle's tires in his yard when she asked him to leave. A deputy spoke to him and he said he was unaware he had done it but would put grass down to fix the problem.

Criminal mischief, 3300 block of Old Tyler Road. An unknown person broke the glass out of a vehicle with a baseball bat and fled.

Possession of a controlled substance, 1000 block of Douglass Road. Kiara Raindle, 19, 1222 W. Main St., was contacted for outstanding warrants and was arrested. Five rocks of cocaine were found in his pocket.

Criminal mischief, 100 block of West Cox Street. A window was broken out of a vehicle.

SFA POLICE REPORTS
Theft, Steen Library. A bike that was left in the rack was missing when the owner returned.

On 06/26/2009 at approximately 12:20 am an officer was dispatched to the SFA Steen Library in reference to theft. Upon arrival the officer made contact with the complainant, who stated that sometime between 06/25/2009 at 8:00 pm and 06/26/2009 at 12:15 am someone took his bicycle from the bike rack at the Steen Library. The complainant advised the officer that his bicycle was secure at the time of the offense. There are no suspects.

JAIL POPULATION
On Friday morning, 176 inmates were housed in the Nacogdoches County jail. According to the Texas Commission on Jail Standards, the jail's maximum population is 292.
