Robbery, 381 U.S. Hwy. 59 N., Garrison, A-1 Foodmart. A man wearing a mask and armed with a gun entered the store around 11 p.m. Sunday night as the employees were getting ready to close, according to store owner Monju Nahar.

"He came inside and pulled a gun and took all the money, a laptop, a cell phone and cigarettes," Nahar said. "When the robber came inside, they pushed the alarm button, but nothing happened."

The alarm had been triggered in the past and, according to Nahar, they had been contacted by their alarm company, but Sunday night the button was pressed and nothing happened, Nahar said.

Nacogdoches County Sheriff Thomas Kerss said the original report received by dispatch had come from the alarm company and came through at 11:03 p.m.

"Deputies checked the surrounding area first, hoping to locate a suspect before they went to the store," Kerss said.
