Driving while intoxicated, 2600 block of North Street. Employees of a local restaurant found a man asleep in the drive through and called police as he attempted to drive off. Police located the vehicle as it pulled out onto North Street and the driver was arrested.

Graffiti, 1400 block of Douglass Road. The number and an upside down fork was spray painted on the side of a business and a car wash area.

———

Criminal mischief, 1000 block of Jeffries Street. An axe was used to put a large cut in the back fender of a 2004 pickup. There was also a large dent and cut in the bumper, according to the vehicle's owner.

Found property, 2400 block of South Street. A silver pistol was found in the parking lot.

Burglary of a motor vehicle, 1900 block of Pearl Street. A man said his iPod and money were taken from the middle console of an unlocked Jeep Grand Wagoneer.

Forgery, 820 block of N. Mound Street. A man said he wrote a check out for $500 to someone for fixing his roof last May, but didn't write a company name on it. He said when he got it back from the bank, the check had been changed to $1500 and someone else's name was on the check.

Theft, 2400 block of Hunter Street. An employee took approximately $500 out of the cash register, quit his job, and walked off.

Possession of marijuana, west Loop 224. A man stopped for speeding was found to have marijuana. He was arrested.

Burglary of a motor vehicle, 600 block of Tower Road. A man said someone took loose change from the center console of his vehicle.

———

Theft, 1300 block of Virginia Avenue. A woman said her boyfriend took $60 from her purse without her permission.

———

Burglary of habitation, 100 block of East Seal Street. A woman said someone entered her apartment and stole a television and cell phone.

———

Theft, 2000 block of South Street. A white male picked up a checkbook another man had left on the counter. According to the police report, the white male is a frequent customer.

Assault family violence, 600 block of First Street. A woman said her boyfriend got mad at her and punched her in the mouth.

———

Assault, family violence, 3300 block of Old Tyler Road. A woman said her sister got mad and pushed their mother. She attempted to intervene, and her sister punched her in the mouth. She was arrested.

———

Theft and failure to identify a fugitive, 4800 block of North Street. An employee saw a man steal two video games. The man when confronted by police, gave them a false name. He was arrested.

Assault family violence and public intoxication, 1600 block of Douglass Road. A man created a disturbance arguing with his girlfriend when she wanted to stop and get something to eat. The police were called and the man was arrested for public intoxication.

Hit and run, 6000 block of East Main Street. A driver ran off the road, losing control of his vehicle. The vehicle flipped several times before striking a sign. The driver left the area before police arrived.

———

Fire, 9500 block of FM 2609. A building was on fire, but extinguished by the volunteer fire department.

———

Theft, near state Hwy. 21 West. A man said sometime between October 2008 and August 21, 2009 someone took several items from an oil well site. The total value of the items is estimated at $8,200.

Assault, 1204 North Mound Street, Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital. An intoxicated woman assaulted two officers as she attempted to resist arrest.

———

On Saturday morning, 194 inmates were housed in the Nacogdoches County jail. According to the Texas Commission on Jail Standards, the jail's maximum population is 292.
