Harassment, 300 block of West College Street. A person is sending text messages to someone after being told not to.

Theft, 700 block of East Main Street. A check was written from a closed account to purchase an item. The item was found at a local pawn shop and taken into custody. An arrest warrant was requested for the person.

Indecency with a child. A complainant reported being touched by a known person more than 40 years ago when they were a child.

Burglary of a vehicle, 600 block of Esther Street. An unlocked vehicle was entered, and a wallet was taken.

———

Assault, 200 block of Muller Street. A person reported being choked during an argument, and a man was arrested.

———

Burglary of a habitation, 3400 block of East Main Street. A cell phone, camera, game system and jewelry were taken from an unlocked apartment.

———

Theft, 100 block of Creekview Bend. A cell phone was stolen.

JAIL POPULATION

On Wednesday morning, 212 inmates were housed in the Nacogdoches County jail. According to the Texas Commission on Jail Standards, the jail's maximum population is 292.

CRIME STOPPERS

Anyone with information regarding a felony crime should call Crime Stoppers at 560-INFO. Callers with information leading to an arrest and grand jury indictment could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
