Criminal mischief, Hwy. 59, Baby Dolls. A man had become angry after he was asked to leave, and he struck the building with his vehicle.

Endangering a child and assault, 1000 block of Ridgewood Street. Officers responded to the report of a disturbance and found a man chasing a woman with a shovel. Officers subdued the man and arrested him. Officers discovered the man had attempted to throw a 9-year-old boy into the fire while it was burning and put a 10-year-old into a barrel that was near the fire. The children were not injured.

Burglary of a motor vehicle, FM 225, Douglass. A vehicle was entered and $320 and medication were taken.

Driving while license invalid, 1200 block of Old Tyler Road. A vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation and the driver was found with a suspended driver's license. He was arrested.

Burglary of a vehicle, 200 block of East Lakewood Drive. A stereo was taken from a parked vehicle without consent.

Forgery, 1400 block of North Street. A counterfeit $100 was passed.

Theft, 600 block of Price Street. A TV and money were taken from a home.

Aggravated assault, 500 block of Hill Avenue. Officers spoke with a person who had a laceration to the forehead. The person said a known person had thrown a vase during an argument.

On Monday morning, 213 inmates were housed in the Nacogdoches County jail. According to the Texas Commission on Jail Standards, the jail's maximum population is 292.
