Possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana, 500 block of Woodway Drive. A man was contacted while walking down the road and was found in possession of marijuana and 80 tablets of Xanax. He was arrested.

Abandoning a child, 100 block of East Seale Street. A 2-month-old child was left alone in an apartment. The child was discovered by a relative and was taken to their home. A warrant was requested for the caregiver.

Driving while license invalid, 1900 block of Douglass Road. A man was stopped for a traffic violation. He was found to have a suspended license.

Burglary of a habitation, 2100 block of Pearl Street. Entry was made to a home. Four pairs of shoes, cash and a shotgun were taken.

Driving while intoxicated, Aikman parking garage. A vehicle driving erratically was pulled over. The driver was found to be intoxicated, and was arrested.

Burglary of a motor vehicle, Student Recreation Center. A man said his vehicle keys were either lost or stolen, and several items had been taken out of his vehicle.

On Tuesday morning, 213 inmates were housed in the Nacogdoches County jail. According to the Texas Commission on Jail Standards, the jail's maximum population is 292.
