Aggravated assault, 1200 block of Spokane Street. A woman said while she was at a friends house someone knocked on the door. The woman opened the door and an unknown female stabbed her in the palm of her hand with a crochet needle.

Theft, 400 block of Ridgewood Drive. A lawn mower was taken from under a porch.

Driving while intoxicated and driving while license invalid, 3500 block of Northwest Stallings Drive. Officers responding to reports of a reckless driver stopped a vehicle and spoke with the driver. The driver was found to be intoxicated and found to have a suspended driver's license. He was arrested.

Possession of marijuana, 200 block of West Austin Street. Officers were responding to reports of a reckless driver and discovered a person being detained by an off-duty officer. The person was found in possession of marijuana. He was arrested.

Theft of a check, 600 block of Margaret Drive. An envelope containing a check was left on top of a mailbox. The envelope was gone before the postman arrived.

Burglary of a building, 200 block of North Lanana Street. Entry was forced into an office building at Oak Grove Cemetery, and toilet paper was removed.

———

Assault, 1700 block of East Main Street. A complainant reported being choked by someone during an argument.

———

Hit-and-run, 3500 block of North Street.

JAIL POPULATION

On Thursday morning, 205 inmates were housed in the Nacogdoches County jail. According to the Texas Commission on Jail Standards, the jail's maximum population is 292.
