A Nacogdoches firefighter sprays the outside of a home in on County Road 505 Friday morning, as more work inside to extinguish a blaze in the attic.
Theresa Green, a neighbor said she was outside with her dog when she noticed smoke coming from the back of the brown brick home. She called 911 and her husband went to see if anyone was home.

Firefighters said no one was inside the residence and the fire most likely started in a back bedroom.
Neighbors, who did not know the name of the residents, described the family as having many children along with an elderly woman living there. Inside one bedroom containing two twin size beds, a hand-made poster board sign saying ?Welcome home Miguel? still hung undamaged on the wall.
Nacogdoches, Melrose and Woden fire departments responded to the fire as well as the Nacogdoches sheriff?s deputies.
