ALTO — Malcome Kennedy hooked up with Billy Duncan on a 16-yard touchdown pass in overtime to lead Cayuga to a 43-36 win over Alto Friday.

Kennedy led Cayuga with 117 yards on 22 carries and one touchdown on the ground. The quarterback also had two passing touchdowns and one receiving touchdown to keep his team a perfect 5-0 in District 20-A play.

Alto drops to 8-2 overall and 5-1 in district play.

Javante Jones led the Yellowjackets with 199 yards on 26 carries and two touchdowns. He also had 132 passing yards and two touchdowns in the shoot-out.

Cayuga pounded Alto from the backfield, cashing in 299 rushing yards. Alto was well rounded on both ends of the ball. The Yellowjackets racked up 150 yards on the ground and 147 in the air.

It was two costly penalties, though, that were the back breaker for Alto. The Yellowjackets had two false starts that backed them up 20 yards in overtime.

Cayuga's Traylon Shead had 182 yards on 21 attempts and two touchdowns.

D'Marcus Tyler led Alto on the receiving end, catching three passes for 67 yards. He also had 31 rushing yards.

Alto has a bye next week.
