Amount is the total obligated from the President's Disaster Relief Fund for FEMA's assistance programs, hazard mitigation grants, federal mission assignments, contractual services and administrative costs as of July 31, 2000.
Funding is based on data for the period of 1953-1999. Data for years prior to 1988 are limited only to costs for disaster assistance programs of FEMA and its predecessor agencies. All amounts are in constant dollars and do not include funding provided by other participating federal agencies under separate spending authorities.
