Bonita United Methodist Church will host two upcoming events:

■ Sunday morning’s service will feature a message by the Rev. Rick Anderson entitled “Calling Out to the King” from Luke 18:35-43. Worship will begin at 9 a.m. followed by Sunday school for all ages at 10:15 a.m. in the Christian Life Center.

■ “Bonita Friends Forever,” an outreach program for children, will be from 3:15 to 5 p.m. Wednesday. Adult Bible study, “Experiencing God,” will follow at 6 p.m. in the CLC.

Goodwill Baptist Church will celebrate its church anniversary at 3 p.m. Sunday with guest speaker the Rev. Dexter Yarbrough of Star of Hope Church in Nacogdoches.

Harvest Point Church will feature a message entitled “The Glory of the Finished Work,” from the book of John, by the Rev. Lee McDowell in Sunday morning’s services. An adult fellowship breakfast will be served at 8:45 a.m. followed by Bible study class at 9:15 a.m. and worship at 10:30 a.m.

Holy Temple Church of God in Christ will celebrate its annual Harvest Day at 3 p.m. Sunday with the theme, “A Marvelous Harvest.” Guest speaker will be the Rev. R.D. Sanders of Gospel Temple Church of God in Christ in Kilgore.

Lilly Grove Baptist Church will host several upcoming events:

■ Sunday morning’s service at 11 a.m. will feature the message “Justified by His Blood” by the Rev. Gene Russell from Romans 3:24; 5:9 and Acts 13:38-39, followed by an observance of the Lord’s Supper.

■ Sunday evening’s service at 6 p.m. will feature a message by Dr. Mark Simmons.

■ Wednesday night’s Bible study at 6:30 p.m. will continue the message “The Eight Great Covenants of God.”

■ The 5th Sunday Night Sing will be at 6 p.m. Nov. 30.

■ The church will celebrate its 9th pastoral appreciation for the Rev. Scoddy D. Bland with a “Pre-Anniversary Musical Extravaganza” at 6 p.m. today.

■ A “9th Appreciation Service” will be at 3 p.m. Sunday with guest speaker the Rev. Carlos Johnson and members of the Mount Olive Baptist Church of Timpson.
