Love INC has a new record for our usually busy Mondays mornings. Usually people are able to come to our office, pick up an application off of our front porch, take it with them to complete and return the application at a later time when it is complete. We try to be as user-friendly as possible. Last Monday, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., more than 30 people visited the inside of our office asking for help. With the help of several volunteers, we were able to visit with each person and their family. The next three days were also very busy.

The holiday season is upon us, and this time of year we are usually busier with questions and completing holiday applications, however, this week was not all about the holiday season. Homeless families in need of shelter and people needing food, clothes and basic needs seemed to be request of the day. I don’t think we have ever had a Monday quite like this since I have been here. On Tuesday, our Home Teams visited nine families. That is also a record. When the Home Teams returned, they reported such extraordinarily terrible living conditions, that we all worked hard to serve these families as quickly as possible.
