A Nacogdoches man accused of fracturing his son's skull was jailed Wednesday on a $250,000 bond.

Cornelius Cabriele Calloway, 22, was charged with a first-degree felony for injury to a child after he allegedly confessed to punching his 4-month-old in the head on Oct. 10. The child is hospitalized in the intensive care unit at Texas Children's Hospital, according to information released by the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office.

The child "had a skull fracture along with other injuries," prompting the sheriff's office and Texas Rangers to investigate at the home on Oct. 11.
