A Nacogdoches resident is in critical condition at a local hospital after being struck by two vehicle early Saturday morning.

Nacogdoches police officers were dispatched to the crash around 2:47 a.m. by one of the drivers who ran into 23-year-old Brandon Duckett, who was crossing South Street on foot.

The driver who called police about the crash was traveling south on the road when they ran into Duckett, and immediately pulled over to call police, according to a statement released Saturday morning. A second vehicle also traveling south hit Duckett afterward but fled.

“No information is known about the second vehicle other than it was southbound and might have front-end damage,” according to NPD’s statement.

“Any person who might have been a witness or knows anything about the accident is asked to contact the Nacogdoches Police Traffic Division at 936-559-2639.”
