Two Nacogdoches County teenagers are facing felony charges for vandalizing the SFA softball fields this month.

Bradley Dean Boatman, 19, of Garrison, and General Jackson Payne, 17, of Nacogdoches, were both booked into the county jail Wednesday, each on a single state-jail felony charge of criminal mischief between $2,500 and $30,000. Both were arrested by the Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office on warrants filed by the Stephen F. Austin State University Police Department.

SFA Police Chief John Fields, Jr. confirmed the arrests were related to the vandalism at the field.

The department logged the initial complaint that someone had torn up the field on Jan. 6, according to the department activity log.

Both of the teens had posted bail as of Thursday morning.
