In the days leading up to his retirement, longtime Nacogdoches Housing Authority executive director Robert Crow sorted through more than 30 years’ worth of memories.

“I came across a letter I wrote to HUD and thought, ‘Did I really say that?’” Crow said during a gathering in his honor Wednesday at Parkcrest, one of the communities managed by the housing authority.
