Logansport Street residents

Logansport Street residents gather for an in-person meeting in September with city officials.

Nacogdoches City Council will end its regular meeting Tuesday with a closed session to discuss a recent rezoning that has drawn criticism and concerns from residents.

The Texas Open Meeting Act allow a governmental body to meet in executive session to talk about sensitive matters — personnel issues, real estate or economic development negotiations or potential or threatened lawsuits. Tuesday’s closed session falls into the last category, as residents of Logansport Street say the recent rezoning of a property to multifamily was not done to the letter of the law.
