The Board of Regents for Stephen F. Austin State University met for more than eight hours in executive session Monday before deciding to take no action on the employment contract of president Scott Gordon.

The Faculty Senate on Sept. 8 unanimously passed a resolution expressing it had no confidence in Gordon’s leadership and calling for regents to revoke his contract. The resolution was also unanimously supported by the university’s deans and department chairs. Last week the senate asked regents to provide a written answer about Gordon’s future with the university.

Great decision! Dr. Gordon is a man of integrity who has worked tirelessly to improve every aspect of S.F.A.!
