Two Tenaha residents were killed in a plane crash Wednesday in Shelby County, according to The Texas Department of Public Safety.

John D. Scull, 73, and Carolyn Hooker Scull, 81, both died when their plane crashed around 4:40 p.m. in a wooded area south of Center Municipal Air Port. The Sculls were Tenaha residents, according to the state troopers, and John was flying at the time.
