A Stephen F. Austin State University student accused of accessing child pornography on the university’s computer network is facing two felony charges after an investigation by multiple law enforcement agencies.

Cristian Alexander Gutierrez, 22, who lists an address in Houston, is charged with possession of child pornography and tampering or fabricating physical evidence. He was booked into the Nacogdoches County jail Tuesday but has since posted bail and was released. University Police Department initiated an investigation into Gutierrez after getting information from Google that a computer on their network had been used to access child pornography, according to the arrest affidavit filed against him. The department brought in the Texas Rangers to help with the case.
