Police Reports

Incident report, 800 block of Oak Hill Plaza Dr. Police made a report regarding an accidental, self-inflicted gunshot wound. The victim had minor injuries and was treated at a hospital.

Traffic offense, 3000 SE Stallings Dr. A driver stopped for a traffic violation was found to have a suspended license.

Theft, 1100 block of NW Stallings Dr. Several travel trailers were burglarized at a local business.

Theft, 1600 block of Cardinal St. A theif removed property from a work trailer.

DUI alcohol or drugs, 200 SW Stallings. Police responding to a minor accident “observed signs of intoxication from the at-fault driver.” An arrest was made.

Traffic offense, 1000 S. University. A driver stopped for a traffic violation was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Assault, 200 block of E. Lakewood St. A woman who said she was assaulted by a family member did not want to file charges.

Burglary of habitation, 1400 block of Martinsville Road. An apartment was broken into and burglarized.

Controlled substance, 1600 Douglass Road. A driver stopped for a traffic violation was found to be in possession of narcotics and issued a summons to appear before Nacogdoches County Court.

Found property, 1600 block of North St. A coin purse was found in the parking lot of Taco Bell, and the owner could not be located. The item was placed into safekeeping.

Theft, 4800 block of North St. A man seen by store employees stealing items was arrested by police and found to be in possession of a dangerous drug.

Assault, 4100 block of North St. Police responded to an apartment complex where a woman said a family member “broke an item of value and later pushed her down causing injury.”

Criminal mischief, 3800 North St. A man reported that “numerous subjects intentionally caused damage” to his vehicle.

Welfare check, 4400 block of FM 95. Deputies were called when a home health nurse “was having a hard time getting her patient to come to the door. Deputy made contact with the subject.”

Animal cruelty, 130 block of CR 5025. A woman called deputies, concerned that her neighbor’s dog was left unattended for a couple of days. “The dog was provided shelter, and it appeared to have had food.”

Disturbance, 10300 block of FM 941. A woman said her boyfriend refused to return her keys. “The altercation was verbal only. The parties were separated.”

Burglary of habitation, 4200 block of CR 724. A burglar entered a home and took medications.

Suspicious person, FM 225 and state Hwy. 204. Deputies were called to a hunting lease where hunters saw a female “walking near the wood line, and when they asked if she needed help she told the hunters she was hitchhiking. The subject then got into a White Pontiac Solstice and drove away.”

Disturbance, 200 block of CR 470. Deputies responding to a disturbance found no one at the scene. “A neighbor reported some of the occupants had left in a vehicle. An anonymous person contacted dispatch and reported a vehicle on scene had a window broken.” An informational report was taken.

Intoxicated driver, 12000 state Hwy. 7E. Deputies responded to a reckless driver call found the driver “had pulled off the side of the road.” He was found to be intoxicated and arrested.

Arrests included: Edgar Garza, 25, of Lufkin, possession of dangerous drug, theft; Moo Ler Htoo, 33, of Center, driving while intoxicated with open alcohol container; Micah Brandan Bosley, 21, driving while license invalid with previous conviction; Bobby Jack Brown Jr., 27, assault family violence; Coleman Ray Crawford, 26, DWI; Malia Kay Flores, 20, of Dallas, driving under influence-minor; Abraham Morua Juarez, 26, DWI; Christopher John Mathey, 19, public intoxication; Erik Palafox, 39, public intoxication; and Jeffrey Scott Richardson, 49, unlawful possession of a firearm by felon.

JAIL POPULATION

At 11 a.m. Monday, the Nacogdoches County Jail housed 251 inmates. According to the Texas Commission on Jail Standards, the maximum population is 292.
