Suspicious person, Hwy. 7 at FM 2112. A passerby saw “what appeared to be a man putting a female inside a vehicle with a rope attached to the female.” Deputies patrolled the area but were unable to find the vehicle.

Welfare check, 100 block of Burt Dr., Appleby. An elderly woman who spoke very little English asked a homeowner to help her find a job. Deputies discovered the woman spoke Bangali, the language of Bangladesh, and was looking for a part-time job near her sister’s home.

Animal problem, 300 block of CR 5341. A caller had questions about protecting livestock from dog attacks.

Assault, 1200 block of 8th St., Cushing. A man reported he was assaulted and received minor injuries.

Theft, 4800 block of North St., A person took items from a store without paying.

Theft, 3800 block of North St. Items were stolen from a store, and charges were enhanced to a felony because of the suspect’s previous convictions.

Assault, 100 block of Old Line Dr. One person was arrested for assault after an argument.

Assault, 2800 block of Santa Fe Rd. A woman reported she was knocked to the ground by a man and suffered minor injuries.

Controlled substance, 1400 block of Hillview Dr. A person yelling obscenities outside a home was found to have narcotics and arrested.

Runaway, 4500 block of War Circle. A 12-year-old girl ran away from home.

Burglary, 300 block of EJ Campbell Blvd. One person was arrested after using a “deadly weapon to assault another individual” and steal property from an apartment.

Assault, 200 book of S. Church St. Two family members who assaulted each other were arrested.

Suspicious vehicle, 4500 block of N. University Dr. Two people were arrested inside a vehicle stolen from another jurisdiction. “One of the suspects was found to be in possession of a controlled substance.”

Theft, 2000 block of North St. A recently fired employee stole money from a business, a manager told police.

Intoxicated driver, 5700 block of North St. A driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated and charges were enhanced because of previous convictions.

Hit-and-run, 600 block of North St. A driver left after an accident scene without leaving required information.

Intoxicated driver, 5700 block of North St. A driver involved earlier in a disturbance at a home was found to be intoxicated and arrested. Charges were enhanced because of a previous DWI conviction.

Threatening, 3400 block of E. Main St. A person who threatened to seriously injure their spouse was arrested.

Driving while intoxicated, 600 block of North St. A person seen urinating in public near a vehicle was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

Traffic assist, FM 225 at CR 786, Douglass. A deputy gave a courtesy ride to a driver with a flat tire and spare tire.

Fraud, 8300 block of FM 2782. A woman reported someone used her bank information to make several purchases.

Criminal mischief, 100 block of Till St. “A known subject” slashed a tire on a vehicle.

Theft, 9900 block of US 259. Two people were arrested after stealing items from a store and leaving on foot. “All property was recovered and returned to the owner.”

Agency assist, 4900 block of FM 2863. Deputies assisted a state trooper in a traffic stop. “The suspect fled the scene. He was caught shortly after and charged with evading.”

Agency assist, 21900 block of US 59 North, Garrison. The driver of a vehicle reported as stalled in the highway began to pull away when deputies arrived and struck a guardrail. The driver was arrested.

Arrests included: Kevin Lynn Burgin, 39, disorderly conduct, possession of a controlled substance; Ashley Dawn Carter, 26, of Houston, theft of property, resisting arrest, failure to identify; Frezell Childress Jr., assault against family member; Winston Roosevelt Freeman, 62, of Houston, manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, theft of a firearm; Dajewon Antwon Garner, 25, assault-family violence; Nathaniel Cody Nobel, two counts of bail jumping and failure to appear on a felony, three counts of motion to revoke probation; Tiffany Denise Pipkins, 31, of Lufkin, burglary of a habitation with intent to commit other felony; Camille Alexandria Rogers, 27, assault-family violence; Kimberly Kay Stomach, 37, theft of property with two or more previous convictions; Christopher Coby Blackburn, 35, of Angleton, unauthorized use of a vehicle and two felony warrants; Darrick Jamel Clemons, 50, of Alvin, theft of property; William Oliver Conner, 47, terroristic threat; Stephanie Chardon Hinton, 38, out of county warrant; Marybeth Grace Hollister, 32, of Shepherd, public intoxication; Alfredo Loya, 41, of Ingleside, driving while intoxicated; Clinton Eugene McClendon, 63, of Corrigan, second-offense driving while intoxicated; Jackson Riley Salsman Sheffield, 20, of Garrison, driving while intoxicated; Betty Leeanna Sullivan, 37 of Corrigan, unauthorized use of a vehicle, possession of a controlled substance; Austin Deaundre Whitaker, 22, driving while intoxicated, evading arrest.


Burglary, Griffith Hall. Property was reported stolen from an unsecured residence at Griffith Hall.


As of Monday morning, the Nacogdoches County jail housed 272 inmates. According to the Texas Commission on Jail Standards the maximum population is 292.
