Assist complainant, 2500 block of FM 1087. Extra patrols were ordered for a home after a parent found “a letter on her daughter’s window ... stating I’m coming.”

Burglary of a motor vehicle, 3900 block of Parkwood Dr. Someone stole property from inside a vehicle.

Counterfeit bills of checks, 2600 block of N. Stallings Dr. Someone tried to use counterfeit money to buy gas.

Controlled substance, 100 block of W. Main St. Drugs were found in a vehicle during a traffic stop, which police initiated because of a wanted person in the vehicle.

Assault, 2700 block of Collins St. Officers arrested a person accused of assaulting a family member and preventing them from leaving home.

Burglary of a motor vehicle, 4000 block of Mystic Ln. Clothes were stolen from a truck.

Theft, 2400 block of S.E. Stallings Dr. Someone stole a gun from an unsecured vehicle.

Assault, 2700 block of Logan Cir. “Complainant advised that her juvenile son was shot several times by another juvenile using a BB gun.”

Sexual assault, 300 block of W. Main St. Officers began investigating a reported sexual assault. “Upon contact it was discovered that a sexual assault had occurred.”

Theft, 4900 block of North St. Someone shoplifted from a store.

Burglary, 200 block of Scarborough St. Someone broke into a home and stole property.

Theft, 1800 block of Heather St. A gun was stolen from a vehicle.

Intoxicated driver, 100 block of W. Starr Ave. The driver involved in a single-vehicle crash was intoxicated, and was arrested.

Assault, 2800 block of Santa Fe Rd. A woman pressed charged against “the father of her children,” whom she accused of hitting her during an argument.

Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, 500 block of CR 2153. A vehicle was reported stolen.

Assist complainant, 9100 block of State Hwy. 7 W. A trespass warning was issued to a person at another person’s request.

Death investigation, 12000 block of CR 302. “Deputies were advised of an elderly female who passed away. Deputies took a report of the incident.”

Burglary of a motor vehicle, 800 block of CR 821. “The complainant stated that an unknown person entered his vehicle and moved items around.”

Theft, 7800 block of CR 808. Someone stole a firearm from a boat.

Credit card abuse, 2300 block of Douglass Rd. A debit card was reportedly “compromised and used in another state.”

Assault, 1100 block of CR 559. Deputies were dispatched to a hospital about an assault in Etoile, though apparently the victim “was in Lufkin, Texas, and not in Nacogdoches. This case will remain active until the suspect comes to the” sheriff’s office.

Identity theft, 100 block of CR 521. A resident reported “her ill husband’s social-security number is being used by another individual.”

Harassing calls, 23000 block of FM 226. A person reported being harassed by scam callers demanding money.

Evading arrest, 400 block of State Hwy. 204. Deputies tried to pull over a a driver, but the driver fled towards Jacksonville. They “were able to get the vehicle stopped and the passenger detained. The driver was identified. A warrant will be issued.”

Vehicle fire, CR 620 and State Hwy. 7 W. The rear axle of a vehicle caught fire. It was extinguished.

Death investigation, 20000 block of FM 343. Deputies made a report at a home where a person was found deceased.

Theft, 2300 block of Douglass Rd. A person reported money stolen from a retirement account.

Assault, 5300 block of CR 817. Deputies dismissed a reported assault because “all stories were conflicting and did not substantiate the need for an arrest.”

Identity theft, 2300 block of Douglass Rd. Deputies took a report about a person’s social-security number possibly being used fraudulently.

Theft, 800 block of CR 765. Deputies took a report about a theft.

Criminal mischief, 100 block of CR 2053. Someone shot a watering trough on a person’s property.

Sick call and medical assist, 400 block of CR782. Emergency responders were called when an elderly woman collapsed. She was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Burglary of a habitation, 6200 block of FM 1275. Several things were reported stolen from a house that was burglarized.

Agency assist, 300 block of State Hwy. 103. A vehicle caught fire and forced a road closure. The fire was put out and the road reopened.

Controlled substance, State Hwy. 103 and CR 560. Deputies checking on a vehicle parked in the road smelled marijuana. A search turned up marijuana, THC wax and a pistol. The driver was arrested.

Controlled substance, 100 block of S. University Dr. A driver whose vehicle stalled in the road was arrested on outstanding warrants. Drug paraphernalia and drugs were found during a search of the vehicle.

Burglary of a motor vehicle, 3200 block of N. University Dr. A phone was stolen from a vehicle.

Controlled substance, 2200 block of North St. THC oil and marijuana were found during a traffic stop. Two people were arrested.

Credit card abuse, 1600 block of South St. A credit card was used without the owner’s permission.

Arrests included: Joshua Aldana, 19, unlawful restraint; Anne Marie Elliott, 19, of Lufkin, possession of a controlled substance and possession of a dangerous drug; Corey Lynn Hamilton, 22, of Garrison, theft of property; Kevin Chase McManus, 31, driving while intoxicated — second; Tribecka Elizabeth Oneal, 25, of Tyler, bail jumping and failure to appear; Matthew Louis Pate, 38, of Garrison, abandoning or endangering a child and possession of a controlled substance; Brooke Leann Penney, 36, possession of a controlled substance and bail jumping and failure to appear; Ian Scot Ritchey, 23, of Sour Lake, possession of a controlled substance; Damaree Nakie Young, 20, two counts of motion to revoke probation; Michael Ray Bowlin, 58, of Center, driving while intoxicated — open container; Robert James Davis, 18, of Montgomery, driving under the influence — minor; Pablo Tyrone Duran, 29, possession of a controlled substance, a warrant and release of surety; William Devon Flemon, 45, two counts of failure to appear on a misdemeanor; Herbert Ray Henderson, 54, criminal non-support; Kristy Kay Johnson, 31, possession of drug paraphernalia; Richard Ray Miller, Jr., 21, two warrants; Carlos Alfredo Morales, 26, of Columbus, New Mexico, possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance; Thomas G. Morales, 20, of Columbus, New Mexico, possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana; Liam Neely Mullens, 22, of Red Rock, unlawful carrying of a weapon, possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance.

SFA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Controlled substance, Lot 47. Officers arrested one person in a reported suspicious vehicle after finding “a controlled substance and (a) dangerous drug.”

Controlled substance, A person fled from officers who tried to serve a mental health warrant. The person was stopped and found with marijuana, was arrested and taken for a mental-health evaluation.

Controlled substance, Wilson Parking Garage. An officer ticketed a person in a suspicious vehicle for marijuana and paraphernalia possession.

Alcohol complaint, Lumberjack Lodge. Two people were charged with crimes by police at a dorm. Officers found them in possession of alcohol, paraphernalia and marijuana. “One subject was issued a citation for minor in possession of alcohol. The other subject was issued a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia and a summons to appear ... for possession of marijuana.”

Controlled substance, Lumberjack Village. “The officer made contact with a subject who was found to be in possession of a controlled substance. The subject was arrested.”

JAIL POPULATION

As of 9 a.m. Friday, there were 249 inmates at the NAcogdoches County jail. As of 10 a.m. Saturday, there were 252. According to the Texas Commission on Jail Standards, the maximum population is 292.
