Police Reports

Disorderly conduct, 1000 block of CR 277. An intoxicated person involved in a verbal altercation with another person “discharged a firearm across a public roadway.” He was arrested.

Harassment, 900 block of Hope Ln. A person reported repeated contact by someone on the phone and through social media even after the person had been warned to stop.

Theft, 100 block of N Church St. A business owner accused an employee of stealing money from the business over a period of several months.

Harassment, 1600 block of Hurst St. A person who’d been told to stop contacting another individual continued to make threats through social media and by phone.

Intoxicated person, 1400 block of Douglass Rd. An intoxicated person resisted arrest.

Family violence, 1700 block of Railroad St. “A subject assaulted her mother causing minor injury. Victim did not with to file charges.”

Theft, 1000 block of N University Dr. A person was accused of shoplifting.

Assault, 900 block of Oak Hill Plaza Dr. A person accuse an ex-boyfriend of assault.

Intoxicated driver, 1500 block of E Main St. Officers arrested a woman “who was passed out in a vehicle” at a gas station. The woman “had been driving with two small children when she arrived at the location.”

Harassment, 1400 block of Martinsville St. “The complainant advised that a known subject was causing their telephone to continuously ring in an annoying and bothersome manner.”

Theft, 1400 block of North St. A cellphone was reported stolen.

Criminal mischief, 8900 block of US 259. Officers were dispatched to investigate a burglary. A report was taken.

Criminal trespassing, 200 block or CR 285. Someone “rummaged through” items in a home they entered without permission. Nothing was apparently stolen or damaged.

Animal problem, 200 block of Bobbie Jo Rambin Ln. A resident said a neighbor’s dog came onto her property and attacked her dog before it “became aggressive towards her. The complainant advised she only wanted this incident documented.”

Juvenile problem, 100 block of Scroggins Rd. Deputies referred a juvenile to the probation department after the kid was reportedly “acting out and threatening family member … with a knife and a shovel.”

Arrests included: Dustin Lavern Cox, 48, public intoxication and disorderly conduct; David Allen Robinson, Jr., 48, of Mount Enterprise, public intoxicated and a warrant; Kenneth Ray Thorne, 68, public intoxicated — enhanced and resisting arrest.

SFA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Intoxicated person, Lot 58. Officers dispatched to investigate a report of a sick person found someone “who was ... intoxicated and a danger to themselves and others” on Nov. 12. That person was arrested.

JAIL POPULATION

As of 9 a.m. Tuesday, there were 253 inmates at the Nacogdoches County jail. According to the Texas Commission on Jail Standards, the maximum population is 292.

Motor vehicle accident with injuries on North Street.

Assist other agency on North Street.
