Nacogdoches police and county sheriff’s deputies investigated two incidents in which people allegedly broke into homes and assaulted the residents. The first incident happened Wednesday morning around 8 a.m., when reports say “a known person” came into a person’s home and assaulted a woman. The second incident occurred around 1:48 a.m. Thursday morning in the 100 block of Wortham Dr.


Theft, 4800 block of North St. Officers took a report about someone trying to shoplift from a business.

Theft, 1200 block of N Mound St. Someone allegedly stole property from a local business.

Assault, 3100 block of Phoenix Ter. Officers arrested one person at the scene of a disturbance between family members.

Assault, 200 block of E Spradley St. One person assaulted another during an argument.

Failure to identify, 2000 block of Pearl St. A driver who gave police a false name during a traffic stop was arrested on outstanding warrants.

Criminal mischief, 700 block of CR 4082. Deputies took a report from the employee who said a company vehicle had been damaged by someone.

Criminal trespass, 400 block of CR 522. A trespass warning was issued to a person at another person’s request.

Unauthorized ATV on roadway, 600 block of CR 242. Deputies issued a warning to a person riding an ATV along the road.

Fraud, 2300 block of Douglass Rd. A resident reported fraudulent charges made to their bank account.

Traffic offense, 15000 block of US 259. A driver pulled over for a traffic violation was ticketed for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Violation of a protective order, 300 block of CR 822. A warrant was requested for a person who was found in violation of a protective order by deputies dispatched to a disturbance.

Arrests included: James Jason Bush, 40, evading arrest with a vehicle and assault; Dustin Heith Carson, 28, assault; John Harold Carter, 60, parole warrant hold; Christian Rashun Collins, 30, no driver’s license and motor-vehicle inspection violation; Ashley F. Hernandez, 17, assault; Dareen Latrell Hill, 19, theft of property; Rodric Ramone Hooks, 31, driving while license invalid with a previous conviction without financial responsibility; Khylin Jackson, 21, bail jumping and failure to appear and failure to appear on a misdemeanor; Andres Viruete Martinez, 37, order of confinement; Brandon Scott Mondville, 28, public intoxication; Clyde Donald Parks, 42, of San Augustine, failure to identify, unlawful restraint, assault and a warrant; Wymesha Keysha Sirls, 25, no driver’s license and unrestrained child.


No reports were filed.


As of noon Thursday, there were 261 inmates at the Nacogdoches County jail. According to the Texas Commission on Jail Standards, the maximum population is 292.
