Nacogdoches police are investigating a Thursday-night crash that killed one person.

Kevin Jose Silva, 32, of Nacogdoches, was westbound on W. Austin Street when he crashed into "the concrete barrier wall that divides the northbound and southbound lanes of the loop" in the 3000 block of N.W. Stallings Dr.

Silva was driving a 2017 Chevy Camaro at the time, according to information released early Friday morning by the Nacogdoches Police Department.

A justice of the peace declared Silva dead at the scene.

The crash was reported to dispatchers shortly after midnight.
