Suspicious vehicle, W Main St. Deputies checked on a person asleep in a car at a railroad intersection. The person said they’d just left dialysis, was “ok and had apparently dozed off while waiting for a train to pass.”
Criminal trespass, 1000 block of CR 4082. A warning was issued to a person in a criminal trespass case.
Criminal trespass, 300 block of CR 701. Criminal trespass warnings were requested for tenants who’d been evicted from a rental property, but law enforcement was unable to contact the individuals.
Minor accident, S Fredonia St. and SW Stallings Dr. Deputies assisted police officers at the scene of a minor crash.
Harassment, 2300 block of Douglass Rd. Harassment and trespass warnings were requested for a person who “came to (the complainant’s) residence and made her feel uncomfortable.”
Criminal trespass, 1000 block of CR 4082. A trespass warning was issued to someone at another person’s request.
Animal cruelty, 100 block of CR 8211. Deputies made arrangement for puppies to be picked up after receiving a complaint from an area resident that the animals possibly weren’t being cared for properly.
Controlled substance, 600 block of W Seale St. Suspected drugs found at a home were collected by law enforcement.
Hit-and-run accident, 700 block of E Starr Ave. Someone reportedly ran into a parked car and damaged it.
Theft, 1100 block of N University Dr. Two people were arrested after being seen “stealing a large amount of ... merchandise from the store.”
Assault, 2800 block of North St. “Officers investigated the report of a disturbance where a male and female subject got into a physical altercation which caused a minor injury.”
Arrests included: Amber Nicole Balentine, 24, organized retail theft and another misdemeanor; Tamekia Nicole Deckard, 36, organized retail theft; Armondo Jesus Delacruz, 30, of Diboll, parole-warrant hold; Keith Allon Penrod, 51, burglary of a building; Keenan Rahman Wade, 24, theft of property.
