Animal problem, 2900 block of FM 2259. Officers detained a dog accused of causing problems with two compatriots who they couldn’t find. The trio “were reported to be causing a traffic problem by walking in the roadway” and “cause another dog to break it’s tether, chase them across the road and get struck by a vehicle.” The tan dog, whose collar didn’t have any identifying information, was booked into the animal shelter.
Fraud, 2300 block of Douglass Rd. A debit card was used in another state without permission.
Minor accident, 2900 block of FM 2864. State troopers were dispatched to a minor crash.
Hazardous materials incident, 4600 block of CR 538. Deputies and state troopers responded to an 18-wheeler wreck in which a truck hauling salt water overturned in a ditch and was leaking diesel.
Agency assist, 3900 block of CR 789. A harassment warning was issued to a person.
Assault, 200 block of Alders Ln. “Officers investigated a disturbance at a local residence in which multiple subjects assaulted one another causing minor injury.”
Forgery, 4000 block of North St. Someone tried to use a fake check to pay at a store.
Controlled substance, 1300 block of Pruitt Hill Dr. A driver whom police tried to pull over for defective equipment “attempted to elude officers and in the process, attempted to discard drugs.” Once the driver was stopped, he was found in possession of drugs and had an active warrant. The driver was arrested.
Failure to identify, 100 block of Ferndale St. Police arrested a person who gave them a fake name during a traffic stop.
Harassment, 400 block of W. California St. “Officers investigated the report of harassment where the complainant received a threatening voicemail from a family member stating she was going to cause her harm.”
Assault, 1500 block of North St. Police arrested a husband and wife who assaulted each other.
Arrests included: Lilly Ann Barrett, 24, assault; Brandon Joseph Barrilleaux, 30, assault; Bobby Ray Emanis, 35, release of surety, bail jumping and failure to appear, driving while license invalid and failure to appear on a misdemeanor; Tyrique Raychaud Deon Hartsfield Spencer, 23, of Lufkin, warrant; Adam Alexander Hernandez, 19, failure to identify, motion to revoke probation, and two counts of bail jumping and failure to appear; Marcus Bernard Tutt, 41, fleeing a police officer, possession of marijuana, warrant, possession of a controlled substance and tampering with/fabricating physical evidence.
